As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting water safety, we are excited to announce the launch of the #STARAquaCenter Lifeguard Scholarship Initiative! We are offering five (5) scholarships to Town Residents ages 15 and above, who are interested in becoming certified lifeguards through the Town of Southampton this spring. 🛟🏊

We are excited to share the recently produced artistic renderings of the future #STARAquaCenter Competition Pool (image 1) and the Warm Water/Activity Pool & Splash Area (image 2). ✨

Our Facility Planning Committee, composed of STAR Board Members and local design professionals, has together with @counsilmanhunsaker, the leading aquatic planning and design firm in the US, worked hard these past couple of months to bring our vision to life — a state of the art facility for everyone in our community.

The result: an 8-lane competition pool with two 1m diving boards, and a multi-functional warm water pool composed of three different water depths and zero-depth entry.

On the front page of this week’s Southampton Press Western Edition - “Public Pool Proposal Wins State Funding” #STARAquaCenter @27east_ ✨

We are pleased to announce that our project has been awarded a $500,000 state grant from the Environmental Protection Fund Grant Program for Parks, Preservation and Heritage (EPF) through the Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC) and the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) Round 12 Initiative.

We received 15 out of 20 possible points in the Statewide CFA Endorsement Standards, classifying the STAR AquaCenter as a project with regional benefits, aligned with the REDC’s strategic plan. ✨

The announcement was made at the #STARAquaCenter 2nd Annual Breakfast Briefing this past Friday.
