The STAR AquaCenter Lifeguard Scholarship Program
At STAR AquaCenter, we are committed to promoting water safety and building a stronger, safer community. Our Lifeguard Scholarship Program offers financial support to Town of Southampton residents who are interested in becoming certified lifeguards. This scholarship covers the full cost of lifeguard certification, including the required CPR course, helping you gain the skills needed to pursue lifeguard positions in our local community.

Town of Southampton Spring 2026 Lifeguard Training Program
Scholarship applications accepted until midnight on 5/5!
WEST Lifeguard Training: Non-Surf Course
- Classroom: 5/11 and 5/18 at Red Creek Activity Center (Ages 15 and up)
- Pool: 5/12 – 5/14 and 5/19 – 5/20 at SCCC Eastern Campus Pool, Riverhead (Ages 15 and up)
- SCCC Test will take place on 05/21
- Backboard & Recertification, 05/26
WEST Lifeguard Training: Surf Course
- Beach: 6/1 – 6/5, 6/8 – 6/9, and 6/11 at Ponquogue Beach, Hampton Bays (Ages 15 and up)
- Classroom: 6/10 at Red Creek Activity Center
- Test will take place on 6/13 at Ponquogue Beach and 6/20 at Sagg Main Beach
EAST Lifeguard Training: Non-Surf Course
- Pool & Classroom: 5/26 – 5/28 and 6/2 – 6/4 at Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club, Bridgehampton (Ages 15 and up)
- Test will take place on 6/4
EAST Lifeguard Training: Surf Course
- Classroom: 6/2 at Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club, Bridgehampton (Ages 15 and up)
- Beach: 6/6 – 6/7, 6/13 – 6/15 at Sagg Main Beach, Sagaponack (Ages 15 and up)
- Test will take place on 6/20 at Sagg Main Beach
WEST Lifeguard CPR Training
- Basic Part 1, 2 & 3 (Full Course): 1/20 – 1/23, 4/27 – 5/1, 5/4 – 5/8, or 7/6 – 7/8 at Red Creek Activity Center (Ages 15 and up)
- BLS Recertification: 4/22, 5/13, or 5/20 at Red Creek Activity Center
- BLS Only: 6/24 or 7/6 at Red Creek Activity Center
EAST Lifeguard CPR Training
- Basic Part 1 & 2 (Full Course): 6/10 – 6/11 at Bridgehampton Sr. Center (Ages 15 and up)
- BLS: 6/10 or 6/11 at Bridgehampton Sr. Center
